RESUMO

Introduction: Physicians and other healthcare personnel have an important role during epidemic of public health crises such as COVID-19 pandemic . It has been observed that this pandemic has increased the stress of different communities, hnology;especially medical staff. Since the widespread of this disease, no research has been conducted on the effects of this pandemic on the stress and resilience of pediatric and emergency assistants of Iran. The present research aims to evaluate the association between resilience and stress of coronavirus (COVID-19) in pediatric and emergency assistants of Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2021. Method: The present research is a cross-sectional study. The statistical population included 52 pediatric and emergency assistants of Ali Asghar and Rasoul Akram hospitals in Tehran , 2021. The census sampling method was implemented for selecting the samples. For deliberating content validity and reliability, 30 questionnaires were initially examined and after confirmation , other samples were examined. In the present study, 2 questionnaires were used and 52 people responded to them, and then the two components of content validity ratio and content validity index (CVI and CVR) were evaluated. For determining the reliability , the Cronbach's alpha coefficient formula was implemented, after calculating Conor and Davidson resilience alpha, (CD-RIS) the score 0.90 and for the anxiety scale of coronavirus in pediatric and emergency assistants, digit 0.89 was obtained, and considering that both of them are greater than. 0.7 , appropriate reliability was obtained. Considering the normality of the data, Pearson correlation coefficient was used for analyzing the association between resilience and stress in pediatric and emergency assistants . Results: Since sig was higher than 0.05 (0.1), the null hypothesis was confirmed and the opposite hypothesis was rejected, and no significant association was found among these two variables (P = 0.6). The results also demonstrated that there was no association between resilience and stress in assistants and residents. Since there was no association among the two variables, the intensity and directions were not assessed. The findings showed that most pediatric assistants and residents were stressed about the new coronavirus disease and the health of individuals that are close to them. According to the chi-square test and probability value, it was found that there was no significant association among the demographic characteristics and stress of coronavirus in pediatric and emergency assistants and their resilience scale.

RESUMO

Covid19 may cause experiences of psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression, stress in families and children. The psychological impact of the coronavirus in all patients should be considered in addition to physical symptoms. Method: In the training intervention group, 4*45 min sessions per week, was conducted by telephone and online. Items such as how the disease occurs, the factors that cause its symptoms and complications, treatment of the disease, the need for treatment of the disease, lifestyle changes, the need for preventive activities such as masking, use of alcohol spray, quarantine, avoid touching contaminated surfaces and avoid losing with friends and relatives and follow proper nutrition tips, advise to calm and stress caused by corona, should be receptive and listened and managed. Support the child. Provide a suitable environment during quarantine. Ask for help from support centers if needed. Have a flexible but regular daily schedule to teach your child to keep a safe distance. Have family coordination at home. Results: According to the obtained results, we found that the distribution of Beck anxiety scores in the pre-examination, post-examination and follow-up stages is normal and the p-value is greater than 0.05 (p 0.00.05). It can be concluded that corona education to parents has been significantly effective in reducing their mean anxiety. scores in the post-examination stage is greater than the significance level (p 0.0 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the difference between the mean adjustment scores at different times is different according to the studied variables. Conclusion: The results of the present research demonstrated that after training anxiety and adjustment in the two groups, information support of patients' families will help them to better adapt in the face of stressful situations. Thus, educating the patients and their family increases the level of information and reduces the anxiety of the patient and the family and reduces the problems facing of the disease. Although families experience high stressors from the corona, but providing the necessary training for parents and increase supports may be necessary to be successful.

RESUMO

Introduction: Physicians and other healthcare personnel play a major role at time widespread public health crises such as COVID-19 epidemic. This epidemic is likely, increase anxiety in the community, especially among medical students. Since COVID-19 outbreak, studies about this epidemic effects on anxiety and resilience in pediatric and emergency assistants of Iran have not been conducted. This study investigates the relationship between resilience and anxiety of coronavirus (COVID-19) in pediatric and emergency assistants of Iran Medical Sciences University in 2021. Method: This research is the result of a cross-sectional study. The statistical population of this study includes 52 pediatric and emergency assistants of Ali Asghar and Rasoul Akram hospitals in Tehran, 2021. To select a statistical sample, a census sampling method was used and was filled out by pediatric and emergency assistants. To deliberate content validity and reliability, we first examined 30 questionnaires and after confirming it, we examined other samples. In this study, we used 2 questionnaires and 52 people responding to them, and then we measured two components called content validity ratio and content validity index, (CVI and CVR). It was used the quintuple Likert scale. To determine the research reliability, we used the Cronbach's alpha coefficient formula, after calculating Conor and Davidson resilience alpha, (CD-RIS) the score 0.90 and for the anxiety scale of coronavirus in pediatric and emergency assistants, digit 0.89 were obtained, since both of them are greater than. 0.7, so this test has acceptable reliability. Data analysis: Due to the normality of the data, we used Pearson- correlation coefficient to analyze relationship between resilience and anxiety coronavirus (COVID-19) in pediatric and emergency assistants. Because sig is greater than 0.05 (0.1), the null hypothesis is confirmed and the opposite hypothesis is rejected, so there is no significant correlation between these two variables (P = 0.6). Also, the coefficient of this correlation for 52 data is 0.2. According to the results, we find out that there is no significant relationship between resilience and anxiety in assistants and residents. Since there is no correlation between the two variables, the intensity and directions are not studied. Results: The results showed that most pediatric assistants and residents are concerned about the COVID-19 contagious to the people around them. Fewer people have anxiety of coronavirus. There is no significant relevancy between these two variables (P = 0.6). Also, the correlation coefficient for 52 data is 0.2. Proper resilience is a personality trait, which enables people to cope better with stressful or traumatic events. People who have health literacy in disease are more likely have adequate flexibility, which in turn can decrease their anxiety level. According to the chi-square test and probability value, we find out that there is no significant relationship between individual's demographic characteristics and anxiety of coronavirus in pediatric and emergency assistants and their resilience scale.

RESUMO

Background: Novel Coronavirus infectious disease has become one of the major health crises of the new generation. Nurses play an important role in providing medical services to manage and reduce infectious diseases. Admission of a large number of patients with COVID-19 in the hospitals has led to an increased demand for medical attention and care services from nurses and physicians in the community;Treatment staff themselves experience significant psychological changes during the patient care period. The role of nurses goes beyond patient care. Nurses around the world are struggling with the impact of Corona on their lives, their families, and in addition the demands of long working hours and concerns about workplace safety. Aim: To investigate the relationship between resilience and the anxiety of corona disease (COVID-19) in nurses of Ali Asghar Children's Hospital in Tehran, in 2020. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study. The statistical population of the research includes 100 nurses of Hazrat Ali Asghar Hospital in Tehran, in 2020. A Census sampling method was applied to select the statistical population and the nurses filled different parts of a questionnaire about the resilience and anxiety of Coronavirus disease. The five-point Likert scale was used for this study. SPSS version 24 was used to analyze the data. Also, the Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to determine the correlation between resilience and anxiety of Corona disease. Data analysis: Since sig is greater than 0.05, the null hypothesis is confirmed and there is no significant correlation between resilience scale and Coronavirus infection anxiety. Also, the coefficient of this correlation is 0.018 for 100 samples, which indicates a weak correlation. Considering the mean of all variables, it could be concluded that there was a significant relationship between the characteristics of demographic factors and the resilience and Coronavirus disease anxiety, which means that factors such as gender, age, etc. affect the anxiety of COVID-19 and resilience. Conclusion: Considering that Hazrat Ali Asghar Hospital is a children's hospital and has a smaller number of children with Corona disease, nurses in children's hospitals are less prone to the anxiety of Corona disease. The results showed that there is no significant correlation between these two variables. In fact, the obtained correlation coefficient, which shows the number 0.018, indicates a weak correlation. According to nurses, when there is no clear solution to problems, sometimes God and destiny help people. They rely on God first of all. For most of them, coping with stress makes them stronger. © 2020 Lahore Medical And Dental College. All rights reserved.
